- How old is this bonsai ?
It's a question heard at every bonsai show I ever visited.
Some merchants will stress the age of the bonsai they sell, as it will normally allow them to increase the price and - to a certain point - this is of course justified.
But this is only part of the tale, because age is a relative concept (as Einstein said!!!) -
