Enthusiasts of the Japanese Art of Bonsai can win prizes by demonstrating their skills in styling and writing about bonsai, the art of growing and creating miniature trees.

1. The bonsaiTALK Styling Contest offers members an opportunity to win prizes by turning unstyled nursery stock into a bonsai. Prizes include a custom made bonsai pot, original bonsai sketches, books, gift voucher, and more. There is a $50 limit on the purchase price of the stock. The deadline for submitting photographs of stock is March 27, 2005.
2. The bonsaiTALK Articles Contest offers a $100 Gift Certificate to the author of the best, bonsai-related article.   Possible topics include how-to articles, bonsai website reviews, restyling, nursery and collecting trips and more. Original articles of 500 words or more may be submitted throughout March and April 2005.
