Product Description
3 DVD box set with 14 episodes (Ep 107 120). Featuring original and uncut episodes!
Naruto returns to the Hidden Leaf Village to find Sasuke, frustrated with Naruto's sudden growth, thirsting to fight to decide who's the better ninja once and for all. Kakashi stops the fight before the worst can happen, but soon Orochimaru's henchmen arrive in the village to lure Sasuke to Orochimaru with the promise of greater power, a promise Sasuke can't refuse. In order to retrieve Sasuke, newly appointed chunin Shikamaru forms a squad of genin, including Naruto, to pursue the terrifying Sound Ninja Four. Will they catch up before Orochimaru gets his hands on Sasuke? Let the chase begin!

English dubbed / Japanese (with optional English subtitles)

As Season Five (2004-2005) of the runaway hit Naruto gets underway, the magical jutsu grow more powerful, the chakra flies, and minor characters come to the fore. Wounded pride and a thirst for revenge lead Sasuke to accept an offer four ninja from the Sound Village bring from Orochimaru. To strengthen the power of curse mark on his neck, Sasuke swallows a potentially deadly drug and enters a trance. The Sound Ninja seal him in a drum-like coffin and take him away. Naruto is joined on the rescue mission not by Sakura--whom Sasuke cruelly rejects when she tries to persuade him to stay in the Hidden Leaf Village--but by Shikamaru, Choji, Kiba, and Neji. The quintet pursues the Sound Ninja, who employ exotic, deadly techniques, including an army of supernatural spiders. During a confrontation, Naruto and Shikamaru learn how Sasuke fits into Orochimaru's schemes: having mastered the jutsu of immortality, the evil ninja needs to find a new body before his old one decays completely. Sasuke, with his exceptional talents, is the ideal vessel for Orochimaru's soul. Season Five has a more somber tone than the previous episodes: Naruto has little time for jokes, ramen, or boasting. But fans of the series won't want to be without this set. The Special Edition includes a Special Limited Edition Collectible Figure of the Summoning Creature Manda. Rated T+ Older Teen; suitable for ages 12 and older: violence, grotesque imagery) --Charles Solomon

5 out of 5 stars They def. stepped it up with set!   November 20, 2008
I love all the Naruto seasons and the movies as well, but I must say that they def. stepped up the dramatics in this set! Tons of action that has you on the edge of your seat, along with funny scenes, but all and all it comes down to their "ninja way" really shining through. I can't wait for more!

4 out of 5 stars Naruto Uncut Box Set 9 Review by Narutousa.com   October 8, 2008
This box set is one to have if you already own the rest of the 1-8 box set. In this box set, Sasuke betrays the leaf village. Sasuke is taken and the fight with the Elite sound five begins. This is one of the best battle scenes in Naruto.

5 out of 5 stars I'm a Naruto Otaku!   October 4, 2008
I love Naruto, and although we are now going into the suckiest arc of life, because of the ending of the arc, the animation and the fighting only get better from here. This arc has some of the best fights in all of the original Naruto seris. I just can't wait for the rest of this seris to come out and for Shippuden to begin. Viva la Naruto!

4 out of 5 stars Great season, to expensive   September 29, 2008
Nothing complex, it was kind of expensive, but it is worth it for a great season

5 out of 5 stars Great and Versatile Series Adds Another Great Installment!   September 16, 2008
Another addition to the Naruto series, this is a great one! If you're new to the series, go back to the first set, but for veteran viewers, don't stop collecting yet!

As always, Naruto delivers loads of action, a bit of fun, and high quality animation! It's great to see how the animation gets better and crisper and as the series moves on. Watching it in Japanese through a website doesn't even come close to comparing with watching this on my up converting DVD player.

For fans who have watched the Japanese Naruto with subs, I think you will enmjoy the series in English once you get over the voice actors. Then again I do miss 'Dattebayou!!'
