Description
Having at last achieved his Perfect Form, the evil Cell?s powers have soared to terrible new heights, overshadowing even the greatest of the Z-Fighters. Eager to demonstrate these newfound abilities and prove his superiority, Cell proposes a tournament. He issues an ultimatum to the people of Earth?produce a worthy opponent or die!

The day of reckoning upon them, Goku and the Z-Fighters line up to participate in Cell?s twisted game, the world?s best hope of defeating the monster. But they are not the only ones brave enough to accept the challenge?the reigning World Martial Arts Champion, Mr. Satan, has also stepped into the ring! Now, with the fate of the human race hanging in the balance, one of these valiant fighters must come forward to defeat the seemingly invincible Perfect Cell?but who will it be?

Dragon Ball Season Six contains the entire Cell Games Saga - episodes 166-194.

At the end of season five of Dragon Ball Z, artificial android Cell achieved his perfect form and challenged the Z Fighters to a martial arts tournament to determine the fate of the Earth. Now the tournament begins, but it proves to be a very uneven adventure. The contest begins slowly: The first 11 episodes are just set-up and filler, with little action. The battles between Cell and the Z Fighters offer plenty of excitement, as the brawlers blast each other through rocky cliffs and fling bursts of energy into space. Goku correctly predicts that Gohan will crush Cell. But the story falls into repetitions; Cell has to be killed three times before he'll stay dead. When Cell announces the tournament on TV, Mr. Satan, a WWF-type, appears as Earth's champion. Although he's a coward and a phony, the TV crew fawns over him--a lame gag that goes on far too long. The filmmakers also change the rules in mid-story. Cell had to absorb Androids Nos. 17 and 18 to achieve his perfect form. After a series of body blows from Gohan, he vomits up No. 18 (intact); later, he regenerates himself into an even more perfect form without the Androids. Goku is killed and decides to remain in the Next World with King Kai, rather than risk attracting more evil creatures to Earth. But when Trunks returns to the future, he destroys Cell before he can travel to the past and achieve his perfect form? which means the Cell that killed Goku never existed. Season six could have easily fit on four discs--the last two discs contain just three episodes apiece, and the only extras are textless songs and some trailers.(Rated TV PG. suitable for ages 8 and older: violence, tobacco use, ethnic stereotypes) --Charles Solomon

4 out of 5 stars Would Be 5 Stars If The Japanese Audi Was As Good As The English.   January 1, 2009
Great Season, Great Remastering, But Why Leave Such Horrible Audio Quality For The Japanese Episodes Yet Put 2 Versions Of The English Episode Up???? The Japanese Ones Are Way Better Anyway. But Overall For The Price Its A Great Product, Great Anime, And Great Season.

5 out of 5 stars Dragonball Z DVD Season Review   December 22, 2008
I purchased the DVD boxsets for the Dragonball Z series... seasons 1 through 7, and plan on buying the rest once they are released. These are excellent DVDs. The ability to run the episodes back to back as a 'marathon' series that cuts out the intro vids / credits between each episode is a great way to enjoy this series.

I would highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of this great anime series.

5 out of 5 stars DBZ just the best   December 4, 2008
The season is worth every single penny, if you are a true fan you will definitely love it. Excellent sound and video quality. I am looking forward to completing my collection very soon!

4 out of 5 stars boy did mess up big time   November 29, 2008
Falks I would like to apoligize for anyone who red my rewview for DBZ session 1. I am hardly ever wrong about anything but this time it looks like i messed up. ya see i told you guys that the picture wasn't cropped becasue alot of people were crying about the widescreen thing. well at the time i only had an old GE tv. a few days ago a bought a Vizeo flatscreent tv 26 inch and weeeeeell ya the picture is cropped BUT that still shouldn't be a problem ok so lets get on on the rest of the review

story. ya it goes trhough the entire cell games and some filler episodes it starts off after cell beat the hell ouf of trunks and it ends when Goku is like "hey King Kai lets like go on a roadtrip or whatever" so ya you get the whole thing and sume filler eposides as well.

I am still not liking the whole changed dialog thing i mean it's totaly ridiculus how they change some of the characters dialoge

the fight scenes are pretty good well to tell the truth the only cools fight scenes is when Gohan fights cell casue i mean when i saw Goku fight him I'm like "the hell man why don't you get really ruff and tuff like you did with Frieza" I man it looked like he was pulling his punches man.

the one thing that is super cools about this is that it "along with all the over seesions" is in HD. now i just realized that when i played it throught my new HD tv and i was like woh this picture is super clear so go out and buy this if your a hard core DBZ fan as for me i'm getting pumped up for the release of Dragon Ball GT
