Witch Hunter Robin: Vol. 6: Vengeance is the final DVD in the anime series. Vengeance contains the final five episodes, 22 - 26. Unfortunately, this series comes to an unsatisfying resolution. The previously finely crafted episodes have given way to plots full of holes.
Things are breaking down at STN-J. Their funding has been cut, but strangely enough the computers remain hooked up. I wonder, if Zaizen really didn't want Michael poking around, why leave him hooked up? Amon, who last left Robin with a passionate, emotional scene, shows up and the two of them act nonchalant. I am most severely disappointed with the failure of the series to allow their relationship to burst into flame, like Robin's power.
The animation is superlative, as usual. The scenes where our heroes are breaking into the terrifying Factory is really scary. I could not watch them at night!
Extras include interviews with the Japanese voice actors who played Michael and Amon. I agree wholeheartedly with the man who played Amon when he said he wants to come back and play Amon because he feels the story is unfinished.

I've been putting of watching this volume, mostly because it took a long time to come out and I had other things on my watching list. This series has been one of the best in the last few years, and it's worth lingering over. Now that I've seen it I can honestly say that it is even better than I expected.
Director Shuko Murase has proved himself an expert in keeping the various threads of this plot afloat, and in using the loose ends to build tension and mystery. Now in four episodes he brings things together brilliantly, creating an absolutely satisfying conclusion.
As the story unfolds we learn Robin's own mysterious role in events as well as revealing several surprises in the STNJ staff. Yurika suddenly develops character as does the office manager. The core plot turns on the conflict between Solomon, the central witch hunting organization, and the Factory, headed by Zaizen. Integral to this is the source and purpose of the Orbo and a secret thread of history known only to Father Juliano, Robin's benefactor.
Several other series have begged the question of the difference between the hunter and the hunted, but Witch Hunter Robin collapses the spectrum completely. And the question becomes not just hat is a witch, but what is a human as well.
Production remains superb throughout. As one of the actors is proud to point out in an interview, the flow of the scenes as they shift is meticulously done, the design is a fine combination of modern and gothic, artistic execution spares nothing, and the musical work by Taku Iwasaki is memorable. As I've said all along, this is the series to watch. Ten stars.

I personally was not very into anime until I saw this show. This show is the best thing I've seen. I've never felt so close to an animated character like I have with Robin, I feel the emotions just by watching. If you love good storylines or intrigue then you should definitely give this series a look-at. You won't be wasting your money.

So far so good. I really felt that this series was, overall, well rounded and, although may have started out slowly, it really picked up in the end. The ending was something of a shocker; I really was not even close when I made some assumptions about what was going to happen. To keep from spoiling any of the finale I will refrain from going into any details.
Overall, the only thing that I can say is that if you liked the other DVDs in the series then this is a must buy. If you are new to the series I would recommend watching the first two DVDs before making any descisions about the anime. Also remember that this series does not really take off until around the 13th(?) episode, so do not judge it if you have only seen the first couple of episodes. In the end, it is really up to you wether or not this will be something that you would buy, but for me this is a definate must own.
