enchanting overview of world religions w/ lush pictures August 2, 2008 Very nice synopses of various religions with very helpful blurbs about significant icons in religious artworks. Each religion is presented in general terms, with no doctrine or precepts. Good reference book for informational purposes. Pictures are wonderful.
In-depth study of religions July 16, 2008 In-depth study and analogy of the world's major religions, including ancient faiths and religious beliefs. I enjoyed reading this book very much. Rich chronological analyses. Enormous amount of information. One of my most cherished books.
Splendid July 9, 2008 Rich comparative study of religions. Well documented chronological facts. Serious research. Abundance of information. Well presented. Conclusion: Add it to your library.
Decent Book. February 8, 2008 I had to buy this book for my Comparative Religions course my freshman year. The book is really simplistic and thorough. It can be a bit biased at times but for the most part it is straight to the point. The photography in the book is great.
great book January 9, 2008 Still reading it. I love this book it explains everything so well. A good on to have a the shelf I must say!
