Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Learning is normally a function of left-brain logic and reasoning, but Quantum Speed-Reading introduces a revolutionary method of learning that bypasses the left brain and taps directly into the power of the right brain.

The implications are huge.

Discovered by accident by Yumiko Tobitani of the Shichida Child Academy, Quantum Speed-Reading involves repeatedly flipping through the pages of a book without making any attempt to read the words. When done properly, Tobitani found that this enabled her grade school students to understand the content of the books?even when the books were written in English, a language the children did not know how to read!

Tobitani?s system appears to enable us to process information via the right brain, and so the result is instant and holistic rather than sequential and fragmented. The results are little short of magical, and the possible applications are endless.

Quantum Speed-Reading includes numerous photos and illustrations of the Quantum Speed-Reading system in action. Besides exercises for children and adults, Quantum Speed-Reading provides a program for toddlers. Quantum Speed-Reading was originally published in Japan.

1 out of 5 stars Unrealstic promise.   December 8, 2008

This book promises that at the end of Quantum speed reading(QSR) course you could hold book in front of your eyes, flip through pages and not only you can comprehend 300 page book in a matter of seconds depending on how fast you flip. You can hear sound and smell, feel etc.. Furthermore it says people who are proficient in QSR can look into eyes go inside their body and ask the cell to do what they wish those cell to do.
I read the book where most pages are dedicated explaining the accomplishment of QSR, about 20 odd pages of techniques and exercise. One technique asks you to imagine yourself as orange rod, the other technique asks you to keeping staring at the word FLOWER and soon see it as flower, feel the smell of flowers etc... Interesting experience(or not of it) but did not gain anything least my reading speed and comprehension remained the same. I don't know what to say, they have website which promises a DVD in the making;may be that would be interesting too. As for me my expectations are simple read fast and comprehend better and that is bieng fulfilled better by a book which i am currently reading .i.e. Triple your reading speed by Wade E. Cutler

4 out of 5 stars Photo Reading?   December 13, 2007

Tobitani appears to have independently discovered the same phenomenon Paul Scheele discusses in Photo Reading. Given the reasonable price of both books and the implications if true, any reasonable person should investigate the claims in both books.
