Album Description Perfect Weight is about having the body we have always wanted. Beginning within, we set up the future of our physical self by aligning our thoughts and feelings toward specific goals. We visualize ourselves in this way, strengthening our confidence and love for our very own flesh and bone. Out of this, a truly transformational weight loss (or gain) miracle can occur.

I like it. June 27, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Kathy's voice is very enjoyable, pleasant and soothing. The background music and natural sounds are ingeniously combined and set the changing mood of the mediation. I look forward to listening daily.
I am very pleased with this item and recommend it.

The Path to Transformation and Real Weight Loss June 17, 2008 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I saw Kathy Freston on an interview and found her very inspiring. I recently got into Yoga and this CD reminds me very much of the "mindful path" my instructors teach. Kathy's words are beautiful and this CD is a great resource on the path to weight loss.
I bought "Perfect Weight" along with "Quantum Wellness: A Practical and Spiritual Guide to Health and Happiness" (Kathy's recent book) and "Body Esteem: Weight Loss Through Self-Discovery (includes 2 Audio CDs)" by Sherri Dawson. I'd recommend all three for someone serious about losing weight and living a more fulfilling life. The CDs in the "Body Esteem" program are also wonderful, but distinctly different than "Perfect Weight". Both are beautiful in their own way.
I'm already noticing positive changes in my life...namely eating more mindfully. Instead of another fad diet, I'm trying to just become healthier and treat my body with respect and compassion. I'm working on cleansing my body and integrating a more vegan approach into my lifestyle, nothing too radical too fast, instead just taking it one step at a time.
I'd definitely recommend this CD, but remember to be reasonable. After all, this meditation is certainly helpful to transformation, but there are other important steps in changing a lifestyle after thirty-some years of habits and emotional baggage surrounding food...well, at least for me.
I hope my review has been helpful to you.
Creepy music June 12, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I can't speak to the effectiveness of this CD as far as weight loss goes -- I've listened to it three times and fell asleep every time. I guess it does help with relaxation! I don't like the background music at all -- some parts of it are somber and eerie. But overall I like it, I like the messages, and I will continue to use it.
Not Your Average Weight Loss CD! April 4, 2005 72 out of 73 found this review helpful
The first time I listened to this meditation I could feel the weight leave me - except it wasn't physical pounds, but an emotional heaviness. The author asks you to find the place inside of your self that doesn't feel worthy of perfect health and love. Wow! It blew me away because many other "weight loss" meditation CDs focus on mental conditioning ... like you're going to train yourself to love asparagus. But this CD asked me to examine the emotional reasons why I am not at my perfect weight. Why don't I inhabit the body I would be most comfortable in right now? When I really started to think about it - it actually made me cry .... because I realized, there's a part of me hanging onto this weight! There's a part of me that feels very unworthy ... and the physical manifestation of this unhappiness is excess weight. Needless to say, this CD has really helped transform how I view myself. It is always good to STOP and honor your body. When you're overweight, it's easy to have a litany of negative thoughts about your appearance constantly running through your mind. I think meditation is the most loving step you can take towards releasing excess weight.
Wow - this is great October 29, 2002 33 out of 37 found this review helpful
I was amazed at the change in my food cravings - from baked goods to fruit. I was less hungry too! I'm telling all my friends to buy this CD!
