| Editorial Reviews:
Album Description Memories of Utopia is the definitive recording of Robin Spielberg's illustrious career as one of America's best-loved pianists/composers. A ten-year retrospective, this CD incorporates new arrangements/recordings of audience all-time favorites as well as brand new compositions. A delightful surprise bonus track of a dance mix of "A Change of Season" is included which will be released to clubs this fall.

| Customer Reviews:
Some of her best work November 19, 2008 It's a pity that - at least, as of this writing - Amazon has elected not to offer samples from "Memories of Utopia" online. A 30-second clip of each of these songs would be the only marketing tool needed to increase sales of this beautiful collection (hint, hint).
I've been a fan of Ms. Spielberg's for a while now, and I believe I have just about all of her CD's - from 1994's "Heal of the Hand" to this year's "A New Kind of Love". But the tracks on "Memories of Utopia" are still some of her very best work ever. My favorite is "Valerie", a song Robin wrote for her daughter and which first appeared on the CD "Beautiful Dreamer".
Comparisons to other artists are usually unfair all around, since every musician incorporates his or her own personality and emotion into a piece... but in the absence of samples, perhaps I can be forgiven for comparing Robin's work favorably with that of Jim Brickman, Mia Jang, David Lanz and Kostia, all of whose compositions I hold in the highest esteem. She's in great company and, in my book, right at the top of that list of great pianists.
The cover of "Memories of Utopia" states that the songs are all solo piano and, for the most part, that's true. However, the bonus track, "A Change of Season", sneaks in a bit of electronic fun as well. Enjoy!
Simply beautiful February 16, 2008 If you want to unwind at the end of a long, difficult day, this is the music to play.
Lovely! November 6, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These beautifully played piano compositions are often playing in my living room and my car. Robin's music soothes and comforts. Highly recommended . . . a triumph for Ms. Spielberg.
