The new Ultimate Kitchen Gardener (SpaceSaver 6) by AeroGrow, in White - has a unique shape with a 30% smaller footprint than the AeroGarden Classic - a perfect fit for corners. The herbs growing in this newest AeroGrow will fill your kitchen with wonderful aromas. Utilizes the newest AeroGrow technology, featuring high-efficiency lighting and a quiet, low-maintenance, advanced growing system. No gardening experience needed! Six herb pods (Genovese basil, mint, chives, dill, Oregano, and Thyme) included. Fresh herbs grow in about 2 weeks, with a continuous harvest for up to 4 months. Grow Lights: 24-hour automatic time cycle (17 hours on, and 7 hours off). Lamp arm provides 6-12 inches of grow deck clearance. Unit height is adjustable from 15 to 20.5 inches. Features a 'water-fill door' in front of the grow deck, for water and nutrients; with a mechanical low water indicator, and an LED control panel with reminder lights to add nutrients every 2 weeks and change the grow bulb every 6 months. I'm very happy Aerogarden decided to make a slightly smaller unit; their regular gardens take up so much space.
The Spacesaver comes in a huge box, but does not weigh much at all. The bulk of the box (and the unit) is nothing but some pieces of plastic. Installation is a breeze (if you read the manual correctly) and when it is all put together you do end up with a pretty sturdy setup, I just can't help feel that it is all rather cheap for the price.
The unit itself has a neat control panel with indicators for all the various settings. All in all a good item, and a perfect gift if you can find it at the right price.

Product is amazing !!! I own the AeroGarden Classic, and replaced with Ultimate Kitchen Gardner (Same as SpaceSaver 6, as per Aerogarden). Takes up less space on my counter, Reminds you to change the bulbs, and when to add nutrients. Really a tremendous product. I saved $$$, and I have the latest technology from AeroGarden. Ace Photo was the only dealer offering this product. Ace also had all the seed kits. Thanks Ace, You're the best !!!
