Product Description
The term 'bonsai' literally translated from Japanese means tray planting or tree in pot. The term refers specifically to the training and artistic vision applied to the tree; ultimately this will give the illusion of an aged miniature tree in nature. It is more than just a little tree, it is an attempt to represent nature itself in a small pot. Translated as potted tree, bonsai trees are the attempt to represent larger natural tree forms in a diminutive scale. In this case we have chosen a hardy 3 year old juniper for its long trailing brances, which are easy to train into many fantastic bonsai styles. Delivered in a beautiful 8" glazed clay earth/water pot that is complimented by Japanese suiseki balance stones and a miniature fisherman.

Friend loved his gift! June 20, 2008
I sent this bonsai to my friend for his birthday. It arrived when promised and was beautiful. Its been a month and the tree is blooming as it should. My friend was ecstatic with the quality. The vendor was awesome.

I ordered this for my daughter who is in the Air Force. I didn't realize I had an old address saved for her on my Amazon address list. I contacted the company, and they sent another plant to her correct address right away. I was very pleased with their willingness to ensure the timely delivery of their products even when it is the customer who caused the mixup. My daughter loves the Bonsai. She has had other Bonsai plants in the past, so the fact that she is very happy with this plant confirms the good quality product they provide. I am very happy with my purchase.

I purchased this bonsai because of the great reviews. My only problem is that the plant arrived frozen but was very quickly replaced by the seller 2chixgifts. The planter is adorable and unique as described and the new (unfrozen) juniper is very healthy. All in all, a very nice bonzai.

I searched the internet for a bonsai tree for my husband's birthday and I decided to order this one based on the other two reviews. They were right! This bonsai tree came very well packaged, on time, and is just like the picture. I also ordered the Bonsai (101 Essential Tips) (Paperback)for $5.00 on Amazon as well as the Bonsai Tool Kit, Student 5 Piece, Joshua Roth Limited. You can't go wrong with this bonsai tree! I totally agree with the other two reviewers. 5 stars!

I sent this to my 80 year old Grandmother for X-Mas this year... she LOVED it!! She said it came packaged wonderfully, and with no breakage whatsoever... In fact, she even asked me to write this review, because she wanted other folks to know that you cannot go wrong with sending this to someone... Highly recommended!!!!!
