Bonsai Review March 11, 2008 Bonsai (101 Essential Tips)Brussel's Golden Gate Ficus Indoor Bonsai Tree Both these products were as discribed and the book was very helpfull in knowing how to care for the Indoor Bonsai Tree. Great products for the value.
Bonsai Tips March 10, 2008 I bought for a birthday gift. As for as I know it has been helpful.
** A Great little book to inspire you to get started. ** March 6, 2008 I have always liked bonsai and had been meaning to start growing a few for over 20 years. But like so many things in life I had somehow put it off till now. Within a week of receiving this book I had finally started growing my very own trees. How can you not love a book that inspires you to action like that? It has a lot of info for the beginner and the pictures are pretty nice to look at. Sure, I'll probably buy a more thorough book later on with more detailed and complete coverage. But this book never promised to be the know all encyclopedia of bonsai. I judge books by if they deliver what the title implies, if they convey the information in a clear and concise manner, and most importantly if they inspire you to take action and apply the knowledge. Because just knowing something but not putting it to use is worthless. This book does all of the above. For just getting the basics and getting started I don't see how you could not like this little inexpensive book.
Great First Read February 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is a great first read on Bonsai and worth its price. It gives an introduction to most Bonsai related topics. After this one, you can start picking books for more in depth information on the areas you are interested in.
A Good Basic Bonsai Book To Begin With! December 9, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I decided to get into raising Bonsai trees a number of years ago but had zero knowledge of what I was getting into - so my wife bought me this book. This book will take an absolute beginner like me and get them functioning rather quickly. The book makes it simple and easy with lots of photos and lots of information.
It was a pleasure to just sit and read this book - the color photos and such make for wonderful daydreaming. Of course, none of my trees look as good as anything in the book - but I am enjoying the hobby and love the book! I would recommend this book as a first manual or guidebook.
